About Atlantic Lights
Our home overlooks the beautiful lesser known Shawbost beach on the west coast of the island, where we can watch the vastly traveled Atlantic waves breaking as they roll in towards the beach.
Clear nights allow an unobstructed view of the flashing beacon of the Butt of Lewis lighthouse from our kitchen window and on a clear night, the lustre of the Northern Lights. Thus, we decided that Atlantic Lights would be a fitting name for our new venture.
Seeing this opportunity, in November 2019 we began mixing small batches of soy wax, turning the kitchen table into our very own candle laboratory. We sampled various fragrances and experimented with different recipes to find the perfect pour for our products. Family and friends were laden with samples, and their feedback was invaluable in allowing us to settle on our first five fragrances.
We hope that our fragrances – whether enjoyed through the flame of a candle or the aroma of a reed diffuser – will remind you of the Isle of Lewis or inspire you to explore the wonders of our beautiful island.
